TREND ALERT: LONG&LEAN

In my opinion it was ''normcore'' that brought about long&long/ big&big
line to the trend.
It's so fresh though a bit too difficult especially for small ladies like me.

The tips for avoiding looking dishevelled are to use colors, and try a pleated long
skirt. The flared hem would save you and elongate your frame effectively.

LEGEND OF DOROTHY

Lately I've been extraordinarily busy, chased by the deadline of my work.

So I was very happy that I could accomplish that and come back here again
for blog-posting.

Today, to embrace the spring theme, I chose a pale pink dress, my favorite one.
And I paired it with a wicthery hat.
A bit oddly it reminds me of Dorothy of ''The Wonderful Wizard of Oz''
as you might have noticed this is a hybrid style of Dorothy and Wizard.

GET HIGHLIGHTED

During summer, when my hometown Tokyo turns hot and too humid,
dresses are the way to go.
(Oh I went to Lady Gaga's concert yesterday. She expressed this weather
like this ''Why is it fxxking hot here??'')

This Kaftan-like dress is such a perfect piece as a summer dress. I love the embelished collar and ditsy details around cuffs.
Maybe in the super-hot weather, cotton or linen dresses are more comfortable,
though -I suppose-this kind of flamboyant pieces work well to boost up in this
extreme heat days just like Lady Gaga does to release herself.

AGAIN IN KYOTO

Now I'm back in Kyoto to see the clients again.
Though I only had rather short time, I rented a bike to make a quick tour around the city.

Kyoto is a magical city.  ''Japonesque'' designs give me a sort of
nostalgia, but at the same time they make me feel that I'm an only stranger
from other places. The city is amazingly beautiful with more than 1600 temples and 400 shrines,
uncountable amount of flowers, and bracing rivers.

Don't get me wrong, I love Tokyo, a mix of tradition and modern culture.
But if you rather want to feel ''Japonesque'', definitely I recommend you Kyoto.
There's no other place like this.

GEOMETRIC EFFECT

A little slinky style for sunday brunch.
Love this side-cut skirt, paired with a color-block top for this autumn trend: 70s geometric effect.

LONG AND LEAN

Hi, everyone! I'm so sorry for the long absence.

I've been away from blogging for almost two months as I got injured
during my trip to Philippines.
I had a fall and sprained my foot. I managed to walk about for two weeks with a swollen foot (almost doubled). And had never known my foot was actually
fractured till I went to a clinic back in Tokyo.
That was a horrible, painful experiment. I got a cast on, and had to put men's size
Birkenstock sandal on the injured foot even at night parties.

Tasted such bitterness, the sweet happiness I'm feeling now is even more special
than before. The foot was healed and I can wear heels!!
Heels, oh my goodness, I've desperately longed for......!!

Also I'm so happy to be here, coming back to my blogging routine that
gives creative moment to my life.

A DRESS-UP MOMENT

There are quite many positive points of short-bob style.

As I mentioned it was a big leap for me to have my hair cut short,
but I found that I'm picking up feminine dresses more than before.
I do love the style mix of feminine&mannish elements.
Now I'm thinking to try maxi dresses I've hesitated to choose.

SHEERLY WHITE

May is regarded as a month full of anxiety, mood swings or even troubles
in Japan and it just turned out so. It was kinda tough this month.
There were extremely nice things and bad things, and weren't things in the middle.
As it's a trans-seasonal month, mutations occurred, stables cleaned out.

The look I chose today reflects this mood. You know, after all the messed-up
things cleaned out, there should be the new beginning.
For that I've got to be neutral, feel the winds, and thank the people supporting
me no matter when.

THE COAT CAUGHT TEN YEARS AGO

It's been cold in Tokyo and I pulled out this black coat for the first time in ten years.
I was a student. I remember that I splurged on this black long coat by saving little by little.
At that time, I had several jobs, a tutor, an interpreter, and an intern at a trust company.
There were very few fast-fashion stores or e-boutiques, so I imperatively learned how to
find good outfits in great quality though I didn't earn a lot.

Fashion comes and goes, and the ''normcore'' trends brought the long-length coats back again now.
I'm a longtime believer that having a few valuable things are nicer than buying many cheap,
low-quality items.
So now I'm grateful that I passed through the time without fast-fashion and proudly wearing this coat
quite often this winter.

HELLO FROM PHUKET!!

Hello, everyone!
Now I'm in Phuket, actually staying at Point Yamu by Como.
Everything is great here, sunny, warm......and the decor everywhere
is so sophisticated!!
Hope you like the photos of the decor details designed by Paola Navone.
I'm currently enjoying the slow flow of time and lovely food.
